Echo Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Echo ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using Echo, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Echo Labs (Beta) ("Echo," "we," "us," or "our") provides a journaling and self-reflection tool powered by artificial intelligence to help you capture and understand your thoughts through voice and text.

2. App Services

2.1 Features

Echo currently includes:

• Voice recording and secure transcription of reflections
• AI-powered written reflections and summaries
• Access to a personal journal history
• Optional biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode)
• Optional cloud sync for cross-device access
• Settings to manage notifications and recording preferences

Features may change or expand as Echo develops.

2.2 Pricing and Payments

• Echo may offer both free and paid subscriptions.
• Paid plans unlock features such as unlimited recordings, AI insights, and multi-device sync.
• Prices are shown in your local currency and may vary by region.
• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store / Google Play account settings.
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
• If a free trial is offered, no charge occurs until it ends. Canceling during the trial ends access immediately.

2.3 AI Processing

When you use Echo's reflection features, your text or voice data may be processed by trusted AI providers (for example, OpenAI or Anthropic) solely to generate your reflection. Data is sent without identifying details and deleted after processing. We do not permit providers to retain or train on your data.

3. User Rights and Obligations

3.1 Age and Consent

Echo is intended for users 13 years or older. Users under 13 must have a parent or guardian's consent. By using Echo, you confirm you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms and that your information is accurate.

3.2 Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use Echo only for lawful, personal journaling and reflection.
• Avoid uploading or recording content that violates others' rights or privacy.
• Not reverse-engineer or attempt to access Echo's source code.
• Not use Echo in ways that disrupt or damage its systems.
• Keep your login information secure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

4. Changes to Service

We may, with reasonable notice:

• Modify or discontinue parts of Echo or its features
• Adjust pricing or subscription options
• Update these Terms

Continuing to use Echo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

5. Limitation of Liability

Echo is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data accuracy, or specific results.

We are not responsible for:

• Lost or deleted entries or recordings
• AI interpretations or generated content
• Service interruptions, bugs, or technical errors
• Any losses or damages from use of the App

Your use of Echo is at your own risk.

6. Termination

• You may stop using Echo anytime by deleting your account or uninstalling the App.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

Your use of Echo is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.
